Frequently Asked Questions

Does Lincoln have a large senior population?

Yes!  Lincoln has 1673 residents who are 60 or older.

How old do I have to be to use the Council on Aging’s services?

Our programs and services are designed for people 60 and older.  However, some of the programs on such topics as preparing for retirement may offer information that would be extremely helpful for people under 60 and people of all ages are welcome to our informational programs and other activities unless otherwise noted on this website or in our monthly newsletter. Some of the services we offer, however, such as the Property Tax Work-Off Program, may have age limits.

Can I volunteer even if I am not 60?

Yes, you can!  We have many volunteers who are not 60.  Go to our volunteers page  for more information.

Who do I speak to about renting Bemis Hall?

Please see our page about renting Bemis Hall.

Do I have to be a member to attend Council on Aging programs?

No, as a Town department, our programs and services are open to all.  You may be thinking of the Friends of the Lincoln Council on Aging, which does have members.
