Help finding in-home care.  You have many options of care to help you stay in your home — home health aides, chore service, laundry and housecleaning, companions, and more.  Pam can let you know what agencies offer these services in Lincoln and how to contact them.

Help applying for services and benefits.  You may be eligible for benefits like Fuel Assistance or The Ride.  Call if you would like assistance in filling out application forms.

Information about housing options.  If the time comes when you decide you would like to explore other housing options like assisted living, we can let you know what facilities are nearby and what they can offer you.

Transportation. The COA offers rides to medical and other appointments, local shopping, and COA activities through volunteer drivers (LINC) and taxis. Please call Lincoln Concord Coach at (781) 259-8722 at least three business days ahead to book a ride. You may book up to one month in advance. There is no charge for either volunteer or taxi rides, however, donations to the Friends of the Lincoln COA are always greatly appreciated. The COA’s transportation is intended for those who do not qualify for The Ride. If you are eligible for The Ride, please use it as your first means of transportation. The Ride is the MBTA door to door transportation system for those who are disabled, including rides seven days a week and evening hours. Applications are available at the COA. If you have questions about The Ride or would like help applying, please call Pam Alberts at (781) 259-8811.

The Small Necessities Project, funded by the Ogden Codman Trust, can help with emergency needs for food, medication, and other basic necessities. Call Pam at the COA for further information or to make an appointment.

Medical Equipment Loan. The COA has a supply of used medical equipment. Walkers, canes, wheel chairs, tub benches, shower chairs, and commodes are available for loan.
